About The Position

The Day Porter Cleaner performs a variety of cleaning duties to maintain a clean, safe, orderly, and sanitary environment across assigned facilities. The role supports the workplace’s appearance and sanitation and contributes to a positive experience for employees, clients, and visitors. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Pay is $20.20 per hour; the specific offer may vary based on experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and market data.

This role may suit someone entering or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education. ABM encourages veterans and candidates with military experience to apply.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have 1 to 2 years of janitorial experience.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or general cleaning roles.
• Commercial building cleaning or major hotel experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure hygiene standards are met.
• Empty trash and recycling bins and handle waste in accordance with company policies.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
• Maintain and properly store cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor.
• Assist with setup and cleanup for meetings, events, or special projects as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and company protocols related to cleaning and sanitation.
