About The Position

Requirements

Must be 18-years of age with a High School Diploma or GED.
6 months of experience working as a supervised Assistant Teacher in a day care or school setting is required.
Required knowledge of the basic child needs and sensitivity to the capabilities, interest and problems associated with children and their day care needs.

Responsibilities

Helps develop and implement lesson plans.
Follows State Regulations.
Follows policies and procedures as outlined in employee and job manuals.
Creates a positive and inviting environment for children.
Assists with the development and measurement of individualized goals for children.
Greets parents, asks appropriate questions, and gives appropriate information.
Includes themselves in children's play time both indoors and outdoors.
Follows schedule for classroom so that activities are timely and organized.
Completes the Opening Procedures, Nap time Procedures and Closing Procedures on a daily basis so that classrooms and common areas remain clean and organized.
Other duties as assigned.
