About The Position

This role involves providing friendly and courteous service to customers, including bagging their purchases, carrying them to their cars, and retrieving shopping carts. The position also requires maintaining store cleanliness by picking up debris, sweeping and mopping floors, and emptying trash. Additional duties include stocking bags, returning misplaced merchandise to shelves, reading shelf tags, and verifying prices. Training will be provided at the store level.

Requirements

• Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.

• Stooping
• Must be able to push 3 to 5 carts at a time
• Able to work outside in seasonal weather
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Working on feet for entire shift (4-8 hours)

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred (for Store/Facility Teammates)
• Minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred (for Store Support Center Teammates)
• Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline)
• Manager approval based on performance (if invited for an interview)

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
• Place customers’ purchases into bags
• Place filled bags in cart
• Carry customers purchase to cars
• Retrieve carts from parking lot
• Pick up paper and debris in the store, from parking lot, and from carts
• Stock bags on check stands
• Empty trash from check stands and service center
• Sweep and mop floors
• Return merchandise left at check-out to shelves
• Read and understand shelf tags
• Verify prices of merchandise
