About The Position

Corlann is seeking bright, ambitious individuals with a positive attitude to join their team as Day Activity Facilitators in Limerick. This role involves supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities to lead normal, enjoyable lives and to be valued citizens in their local community. The organization is committed to ensuring that those they support have ordinary life experiences and are closely connected to family and friends. This position requires a high degree of professionalism, the ability to work with people who have a learning disability, and a belief in their right to live and participate equally in the community. The role also requires competence in conflict resolution and the ability to understand and empower individuals with diverse viewpoints.

Requirements

A third-level qualification relevant to the provision of service to individuals with intellectual disabilities or at a minimum a QQI Level 5 Major Award (Full 8 modules) in community development, health or education.
Hold a Full Manual Driving License which qualifies you to drive manual transmission vehicles on Irish Roads.
A working knowledge of HSE’s New Directions Standards for Day Services & the Person Centred planning process.

Responsibilities

Work as a member of a team.
Participate in the development and implementation of appropriate programmes suitable to the individual needs and abilities of people supported by the services.
Ensure the welfare and wellbeing of the service user is the prime consideration at all times.
