About The Position

Operates a line of multiple spindle screw machines, after set-up has been made by set-up person and checked, checking for quality of parts. Responsible for maintaining production levels and quality standards. This is an Hourly Non exempt role with a pay range from $20 to $26/hr. depending on level of experience and skills.

Requirements

Two years previous machine operator experience or successful completion of screw machine operator training program.
Basic math skills, including ability to use micrometers and other measuring devices.
Ability to read and interpret drawings.
Ability to inspect parts, visual acuity
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand for long period of time
Ability to work from a ladder/stairs.
Complete daily operator documentation

Responsibilities

Operates a line of multiple spindle screw machines, after set-up has been made by set-up person and checked, checking for quality of parts.
Responsible for maintaining production levels and quality standards.
Maintain tool log sheets.
Remove, sharpen and reset tools as necessary.
Load bar-stock and pull chips as necessary.
Performs all SPC charting as required for a specific job or group of machines.
Makes adjustments and minor repairs to machines as necessary.
Ensure work area is maintained in a neat and orderly fashion.
Follow yellow pan and containment process
Adhere to FOD requirements
Perform assigned Preventive Maintenance Tasks
Wear personal protective equipment as required and follow all safety rules and regulations.
Participate in continuous improvement activities
Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
