DataOps Lead – P&C Domain
About The Position
Derex Technologies Inc is seeking a DataOps Lead to support enterprise data warehouse and reporting applications in the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain. The role focuses on production support, resolving issues, maintaining data accuracy and system stability, and supporting reporting and data integration workloads. The position is located in Michigan, USA, and is onsite from day one. The successful candidate will work with Oracle PL/SQL, Web FOCUS, Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), and Databricks-related technologies. The role includes troubleshooting production issues, conducting root cause analysis, monitoring ETL and data integration jobs, and supporting reporting dashboards. Familiarity with P&C processes such as Policy, Underwriting, Claims, and Billing is important.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience in production support and incident management.
- Expertise in Oracle PL/SQL, SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
- Experience with Web FOCUS reporting and dashboard support.
- Exposure to Databricks, Spark, and modern data platforms.
- Strong understanding of P&C insurance processes, including Policy, Underwriting, Claims, and Billing.
- Experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), ETL/ELT processes, batch job monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
