About The Position

This role focuses on designing and implementing security architecture for Databricks on AWS. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Databricks security features, AWS IAM, and related security best practices to ensure the protection of sensitive data and compliance with regulations.

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with Databricks security architecture on AWS.
Expertise in Databricks Unity Catalog and its security/governance capabilities.
Strong knowledge of AWS IAM, roles, policies, permissions, and least-privilege principles.
Experience with SSO, MFA, SAML/OIDC, and enterprise identity providers.
Strong understanding of RBAC and ABAC models.
Experience with AWS networking and cloud security.
Knowledge of encryption, AWS KMS, secrets management, and key management.
Experience implementing data classification and data governance controls.
Strong understanding of security monitoring, logging, auditing, and compliance.
Experience securing sensitive data and implementing regulatory/security controls.
Strong architecture, documentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

Design and implement Databricks security architecture on AWS.
Leverage Databricks Unity Catalog for security and governance.
Configure and manage AWS IAM roles, policies, and permissions.
Implement Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), SAML/OIDC, and integrate with enterprise identity providers.
Apply Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) models.
Ensure robust AWS networking and cloud security configurations.
Manage encryption, AWS KMS, secrets management, and key management.
Implement data classification and data governance controls.
Establish security monitoring, logging, auditing, and compliance frameworks.
Secure sensitive data and implement regulatory/security controls.
Develop architecture documentation and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
