About The Position
Elevate Government Solutions is a high growth Technology Services company focused on driving technological change in the government space. Our teams engage with various government agencies to develop and deploy emerging technology solutions using a tailored Agile methodology. We are seeking a highly motivated and intellectually curious Databricks Platform Engineer/Admin to join our team working with a Federal client. The position will be a remote role open to US citizens residing in the United States with a Secret security clearance.
Requirements
- 6+ years administering/engineering Databricks platforms, ideally on AWS
- Hands-on Terraform experience (networking, IAM, compute, storage)
- Strong knowledge of Databricks SRA and Unity Catalog administration
- Experience with DABs or equivalent deployment automation
- Python and Linux systems administration
- AWS services: VPC, IAM, S3, KMS, EC2, CloudWatch (GovCloud experience a plus)
- Comfortable operating in regulated/compliance-heavy environments (FISMA High/FedRAMP High a plus)
- Strong communication skills; able to advise stakeholders on platform decisions
- ACTIVE SECRET security clearance

Responsibilities
- Deploy Databricks workspaces from scratch via Terraform + Databricks SRA on AWS GovCloud/Commercial, across dev/test/prod
- Design and implement networking (VPC, subnets, PrivateLink, Transit Gateway, security groups, DNS) for control plane/data plane connectivity
- Administer Unity Catalog: metastores, catalogs, schemas, external locations, grants, row/column-level security
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and Databricks Asset Bundles (DABs) deployment
- Own platform governance, strategy, and best practices; define workspace guardrails, tagging, and naming standards
- Automate provisioning of cluster policies, secrets, service principals, SSO/SCIM integration
- Monitor platform health, cost, and utilization; drive FinOps and rightsizing recommendations
- Act as escalation point for platform incidents and root-cause analysis
