About The Position

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Databricks Data Architect. This is a Full-Time Contract (W2) position with a duration of 6+ months. The role is remote, based in New York, NY. The primary skill required for the role is prior experience specifically in a Databricks Architect role, focusing on designing enterprise-scale Databricks solutions rather than solely implementation/engineering work. The candidate will collaborate with various infrastructure teams, platforms, product, engineering, and scientists to identify requirements for building and managing data analytics foundations. The ideal candidate will be a strong, hands-on Azure and Databricks technical expert.

Requirements

• Prior experience specifically in a Databricks Architect role.
• Designing enterprise-scale Databricks solutions, not solely implementation/engineering work.
• Strong, hands-on production experience with Azure data services — ADLS Gen2, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse/Fabric.
• Strong, hands-on production experience with Databricks — Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, PySpark, Databricks Workflows.
• Must be able to be engaged on a W-2 basis.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Managed Iceberg tables a plus.
