Requirements

• Associate's Degree + 4 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree + 2 years of relevant experience.
• SQL proficiency
• SQL and Java

Nice To Haves

• Demonstrated experience with Cognos Analytics v11 or comparable enterprise reporting and business intelligence platforms
• Strong organizational and project management skills are highly desirable.
• Prior experience in a higher education environment is preferred.
• ITIL Preferred

Responsibilities

• In partnership with functional stakeholders, design, develop and implement business intelligence solutions sourced from institutional and external data to the enterprise to advance analytics within NMSU System.
• Collect business requirements and translate into dashboards, reports, visualizations and business intelligence query objects in the existing BI platform (eg Cognos Analytics).
• Work on data projects and collaborate with functional and technical teams to advance analytics at NMSU.
• Ensure adherence to industry-accepted architecture principles.
• Uses standard or ad hoc queries or reports to extract data from disparate databases or data sources.
• Develop complex reports to support compliance and critical operations for administrative offices using SQL and Java.
