About The Position

The Database Prin. Engineer is a key member of the database engineering team responsible for designing, architecting, implementing, and maintaining database management systems and cloud based data infrastructure for assigned clients. The role requires a broad understanding of industry best practices, modern data platform architectures, and multiple database technologies, including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and AWS Cloud database services. The engineer operates independently to deliver high quality solutions across multiple engagements, applying strong technical judgment to implement database platforms that meet business, performance, and security requirements. Responsibilities include designing and deploying Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL solutions, as well as leveraging AWS native services such as Amazon RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, Document DB, Redshift, and AWS DMS/SCT for cloud migrations and modernization initiatives. The role applies database engineering methodologies, company standards, and leading practices to deliver functional and technical solutions for moderately complex infrastructure and application projects. The engineer may lead solution design and implementation efforts, ensuring high quality, integrated outcomes within time and budget constraints. The position may also serve as a team lead, providing coaching, guidance, and technical escalation support for engineering and operations teams. The engineer collaborates effectively with infrastructure leadership, participates in business development activities, and contributes to the development of detailed technical and architectural solutions for moderately complex projects.
