About The Position

Navteca is seeking skilled professionals to provide Database Management Support for enterprise environments. This role focuses on the implementation, maintenance, monitoring, and performance tuning of databases across both UNIX and Windows platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience with Oracle and SQL-based systems and will contribute to the design and support of enterprise database architectures, including environments supporting SAP systems.

Requirements

2–4 years of experience in database administration or development
Experience with Oracle and/or SQL-based database systems
Familiarity with enterprise database environments and architectures
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work collaboratively across technical teams

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting SAP environments using Oracle (preferred)
Experience in government or regulated environments is a plus

Responsibilities

Support enterprise database implementation, administration, and maintenance
Assist in the development and optimization of database server architecture
Install, configure, and maintain Oracle RDBMS and related software
Monitor database and server performance, ensuring high availability and reliability
Perform database tuning and optimization of instance parameters for peak performance
Support database environments across UNIX and Windows platforms
Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and SAP teams to ensure seamless integration
Troubleshoot and resolve database performance and operational issues
Ensure compliance with Fairfax County standards and best practices
