About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Engineer with strong expertise in SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, and data integration to support enterprise data solutions. This role combines data analysis, database development, and cloud-based data engineering, requiring hands-on experience with large datasets, data pipelines, and modern cloud platforms such as AWS and Snowflake. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to design, analyze, and deliver scalable, high-quality data solutions that drive business insights.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Oracle PL/SQL
  • Hands-on experience with data ingestion, data integration, and ETL processes
  • Experience in database analysis, data profiling, and large dataset handling
  • Solid understanding of data modeling (logical, conceptual, physical)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Snowflake)
  • Working knowledge of Python for scripting and automation
  • Exposure to Kafka or streaming data pipelines (preferred)
  • Familiarity with distributed databases (e.g., YugabyteDB) and data replication concepts
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
  • Strong communication and presentation skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins) and data pipeline automation
  • Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban, Jira, Bitbucket)
  • Exposure to multi-cloud or modern data platforms

Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL and PL/SQL queries, stored procedures, scripts, SQS and SNS
  • Perform data analysis, data profiling, and data quality validation on large datasets
  • Design and implement data ingestion and integration pipelines across systems
  • Work with conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support database design
  • Support ETL processes, transformation logic, and performance tuning
  • Build and maintain cloud-based data solutions using AWS (S3, EC2, Lambda) and Snowflake
  • Work with data pipelines and streaming solutions (e.g., Kafka - working knowledge)
  • Support data replication and synchronization strategies across platforms
  • Conduct data exploration and impact analysis to support business decisions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into data solutions
  • Review system architecture and identify gaps, dependencies, and optimization opportunities
  • Prepare and present data insights and technical solutions to business and technical audiences
  • Work independently and manage deliverables in an Agile environment
