About The Position
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is looking for Database Engineer interns to work with senior mentors and will develop skills necessary to support database platforms in use at The Church, including Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, NoSQL, etc. This internship position represents an exciting opportunity to work for one of the largest information technology centers in the Wasatch front. This individual works with divine guidance to provide or support technology that furthers the mission of the Church and reflects the eternal impact of the gospel.

Responsibilities
- Administer on-premises and/or cloud databases.
- Migration of databases from on-premises to cloud database solutions
- Compile reports on implementation and data
- Monitor processes and makes recommendations for efficiency and accuracy
- Craft management reports to communicate status
- Seeks opportunities to improve processes
- Work with state-of-the art tools to help support enterprise database solutions
- Mentor with highly experienced IT professionals
