About The Position
This is a 100% remote position focused on designing, maintaining, and optimizing various databases and data pipelines. The role involves developing and optimizing ETL processes, executing large-scale data migrations, and building reporting solutions. Collaboration with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment is a key aspect of this role, along with providing production support and knowledge transfer.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in database development or data engineering.
- Expertise in SQL Server, T-SQL and performance tuning.
- Experience with ETL tools (SSIS), Python, or PySpark.
- Strong background in data modeling and data integration.
- Experience with reporting tools (SSRS, PowerBI).
- Working knowledge of DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, or Jenkins.
- Experience supporting critical applications in financial, government, or legal industries.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain various databases, including stored procedures, indexing, and data models.
- Develop and optimize ETL pipelines and workflows using SSIS, Python, PySpark, and SQL Server.
- Execute large-scale data migrations, including cleansing, validation, and transformation across enterprise systems.
- Develop and optimize SQL scripts and stored procedures to support data conversion, validation, and ongoing processing needs.
- Build data ingestion and transformation workflows across raw, staging, curated, and analytics layers.
- Build and maintain various reporting solutions using SSRS and PowerBI.
- Design and implement logical and physical data models (ERDs) for various applications.
- Develop stored procedures, views, SQL scripts, and other database components supporting transactional and reporting systems.
- Provide production support, including troubleshooting performance issues and on-call support when needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in Agile ceremonies, development activities, code reviews, and release cycles.
- Provide knowledge transfer.
