About The Position

As a Database Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our database systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, to ensure efficient and effective database operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of database concepts, excellent programming skills, and a passion for creating data solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in computer science, data science, or a related field is required.
• 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server), including database design principles and data modeling concepts.
• Proficiency in SQL programming and database optimization.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Python or other programming languages is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable database systems to meet the company’s data storage and retrieval needs.
• Collaborate with team members to understand database requirements and design appropriate solutions.
• Write efficient and optimized database queries, stored procedures, and functions to support application development and data retrieval.
• Perform database tuning and optimization to enhance system performance and ensure high availability of data.
• Implement data security measures and ensure data integrity and confidentiality
• Monitor database systems to identify and resolve performance issues, data inconsistencies, and other database-related problems
• Create and maintain database documentation, including data models, schema diagrams, and data dictionaries.
• Stay up to date with the latest database technologies and trends and evaluate their applicability to the company’s database environment
• Collaborate with system administrators to ensure seamless integration between database systems and other infrastructure components
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
