About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to provide infrastructure and operational support for enterprise SQL Server environments supporting multiple critical applications. This role will be responsible for maintaining database stability, performance, security, and availability across development, test, and production environments. The Database Administrator will participate in the installation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of database systems while ensuring adherence to established database standards, policies, and best practices. This role also supports high availability and disaster recovery strategies and assists with evaluating new technologies and resolving persistent database issues.

Requirements

Bachelor’s in a related discipline required
4+ years of hands -on database administration experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2016 or newer).
Strong experience supporting high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) solutions.
Experience implementing and supporting Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) within SQL Server environments.
Experience installing, configuring, patching, and maintaining SQL Server environments.
Experience monitoring database performance, backups, and scheduled jobs.

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting clustered SQL Server environments.
Experience with database replication technologies.
Familiarity with enterprise database monitoring and alerting tools.
Experience performing database capacity planning and space management.
2+ years of experience creating, updating, and maintaining technical and systems documentation.

Responsibilities

Provide operational support for SQL Server database environments across multiple application systems.
Monitor database health, performance, and capacity to ensure system availability and reliability.
Follow and enforce database standards, policies, and procedures while contributing to documentation and operational guidelines.
Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server database software, patches, and service packs in development and test environments.
Monitor and maintain database backups to ensure recoverability and troubleshoot backup -related issues.
Support clustered database environments and high availability configurations.
Monitor and manage database replication processes and scheduled database jobs.
Execute scripts and assist with database object creation and modification, including tables, views, indexes, and constraints.
Monitor system alerts, logs, and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve database issues.
Assist with space management, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
Support database integrity checks and implement strategies to address fragmentation and optimize storage utilization.
Collaborate with technical teams and external partners to support database -related initiatives and problem resolution.
