About The Position

Oak Hill is seeking a passionate, detail-oriented Database Administrator to be the driving force behind their fundraising operations. This role involves managing the Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT system, ensuring the integrity of the donor database, and transforming donor data into meaningful insights and compelling stories that demonstrate philanthropic impact. The Database Administrator will collaborate closely with Development, Finance, and Executive Leadership to improve operations and decision-making, support various giving initiatives, and identify opportunities for process improvement and donor stewardship. The work directly fuels programs that make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities.

Requirements

  • Experience managing Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT (3–5+ years preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of fundraising operations and donor database management
  • Experience with gift processing, financial reconciliation, and reporting
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Outstanding analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • A passion for accuracy, continuous improvement, and collaboration
  • The ability to communicate complex data in ways that inspire action

Responsibilities

  • Lead all gift processing from receipt through acknowledgement and reconciliation.
  • Develop insightful reports and dashboards that guide fundraising strategy.
  • Transform donor data into compelling stories that demonstrate philanthropic impact.
  • Partner closely with Development, Finance, and Executive Leadership to improve operations and decision-making.
  • Support annual, major, corporate, foundation, planned, and legacy giving initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and strengthen donor stewardship.
  • Help cultivate a culture of philanthropy across the organization.
