About The Position

This is a temporary project role for a Database Administrator with an estimated duration of 12 months, potentially with extensions. The position is fully remote and requires extensive experience with Oracle 19c or higher, ASM, Clusterware, GoldenGate, Active Data Guard, Linux, and SQL. Preferred experience includes working with public sector organizations and hosting vendors, as well as with Oracle PeopleSoft products.

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer enterprise Oracle database infrastructure, specifically focusing on Oracle 19c and higher versions.
• Configure, maintain, and optimize Oracle Grid Infrastructure, including Automatic Storage Management (ASM) and Clusterware, to ensure robust storage and cluster operations.
• Implement and manage high-availability and disaster recovery solutions utilizing Oracle GoldenGate and Active Data Guard to guarantee maximum system uptime and data protection.
• Develop and execute advanced automation scripts using Linux shell and SQL to streamline database administration tasks, performance tuning, and system monitoring.
• Apply public sector IT experience to ensure database infrastructure complies with federal, state, or local government security, regulatory, and operational standards.
• Collaborate with external hosting vendors and managed service providers to coordinate infrastructure deployment, support, and service level agreements.
• Support and optimize database environments hosting Oracle PeopleSoft applications, ensuring performance and compatibility with enterprise ERP systems.
