The Database Administrator is responsible for establishing and maintaining database performance standards, monitoring system usage, and performing system optimization tasks to ensure data availability and responsiveness. This role also involves devising and maintaining data security and integrity standards, diagnosing and resolving performance problems, managing data archival and recovery, and making recommendations for system capacity. Additionally, the administrator will plan and implement database conversion, migration, and upgrade projects, and monitor network traffic to meet system demands.
