About The Position

This position is for a Database Administrator with a Florida Government Agency. The role is on-site in Tallahassee, FL, and is a contract position from September 2026 to June 2027, with the possibility of renewal. The pay rate is between $60/Hr and $62/Hr. The candidate must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
• Five (5) years combined experience in database administration for the following database platforms:
• Expert in SQL Server 2012, and above
• Oracle 10g and above
• MUST HAVE experience with GIS and spatial databases
• US Citizen or GC ONLY

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Azure & AWS SQL and tools are a plus
• Experience with managing ArcGIS for Server is a plus

Responsibilities

• Daily operational and database administration activities
• Plan, design, implement, support for database structures
• Conduct database performance monitoring and tuning
• Develop and maintain database administration procedures and documentation
• Perform SQL Code reviews
• Assist with training/mentoring other technical staff
• This resource may also be required to perform other database or infrastructure activities as requested
• Support database activities for application enhancements and rewrites.
