About The Position

14533 – Database Administrator (onsite) – Tallahassee, FL Start Date : ASAP Type: Temporary Project Estimated Duration : 12 months with possible extensions Work Setting: 100% of the time at the Client’s site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client. Teleworking is not authorized for this position Only candidates able to relocate as required should apply to avoid removal from future consideration.

Requirements

• Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Tallahassee, FL (required)
• Experience in database administration (5 years)
• Experience with IBM DB2 (5 years)
• Experience with SQL Server 2016 and above (5 years)
• Experience with Oracle 19c and above (5 years)
• Experience with Relational Database Management principles, design and practices
• Experience with daily database administration operations including performance monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting for DB2, SQL Server, and Oracle
• Experience planning, designing, implementing, and supporting database structures and relational database solutions
• Experience developing and maintaining database administration procedures, documentation, and adherence to departmental standards
• Experience performing SQL code reviews and preparing database specifications for new or modified applications
• Experience mentoring or training other technical staff in database administration best practices.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Azure SQL (5 years).

Responsibilities

• Daily operational and database administration activities
• Plan, design, implement, support for database structures
• Conduct database performance monitoring and tuning
• Develop and maintain database administration procedures and documentation
• Perform SQL Code reviews
• Assist with training/mentoring other technical staff
• This resource may also be required to perform other database or infrastructure activities as requested.
