About The Position
Dhaka Technologies Limited Company (DTLC) is hiring a Database Administrator on behalf of a leading financial services organization. This is a hybrid position based in Jersey City, New Jersey, requiring three days onsite and two days remote each week. The role is a contract assignment of 12 months or longer. The administrator will support Vertica, Sybase ASE, and Sybase IQ database environments, including mission-critical applications. Responsibilities span installation and configuration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, security administration, high availability, replication, and production support. The role also involves database monitoring and troubleshooting, disaster recovery, upgrades and migrations, and collaboration with application and infrastructure teams to maintain database reliability, scalability, and compliance. Exposure to automation, scripting, and modernization initiatives is preferred.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of database administration experience.
- Expertise in Vertica, Sybase ASE, and Sybase IQ database environments.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and Linux/Unix.
- Knowledge of database monitoring, troubleshooting, and disaster recovery processes.
- Knowledge of RDBMS.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow.
