About The Position

Seeking a Database Administrator 2 to support database migrations, production SQL administration, troubleshooting, and post-migration validation. This role requires supporting Microsoft SQL Server environments (2008-2019) and includes daily break/fix support, performance tuning, updates, security reviews, and maintenance. The position also involves maintaining technical documentation and collaborating with internal teams and customers. While Microsoft SQL Server is the primary focus, Oracle experience is considered a plus.

Requirements

• 5+ years of production database administration and troubleshooting.
• 5+ years of backup/recovery, monitoring, and database maintenance.
• Experience with database migration and validation.
• Strong SQL Server administration, security, and access management experience.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
• Must be local to Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Migrate databases between hosted platforms and perform system validation after migration.
• Administer, monitor, troubleshoot, backup, restore, and recover production databases.
• Provide daily break/fix support for Microsoft SQL Server environments (2008–2019).
• Support SQL performance, updates, security/access reviews, and database maintenance.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and collaborate with internal teams and customers.
