About The Position

This role requires a seasoned Database Administrator with project leadership capabilities. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing database operations, ensuring data integrity, and optimizing performance. The position involves significant hands-on work with database systems, backup and recovery procedures, and performance tuning. Additionally, the role may involve planning, scaling, and capacity management for databases. The contractor must provide their own equipment, such as a laptop and monitor, as Lumen and its clients will not supply these resources. Access to a virtual desktop environment will be provided for system and technology access.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a Database Administrator
• 6+ years of experience with Backup/Recovery
• 6+ years of experience with Performance Tuning
• Must have own equipment (Laptop, monitor, etc.)

Nice To Haves

• Cloud Platform experience (SQL Database)
• PowerShell Scripting and Automation
