About The Position

Everforth ECS is seeking a highly qualified Database Administrator/Programmer with an active Secret Clearance to work full time on our project at Maxwell Air Force Base, AL. The selected candidate will be able to communicate effectively (written/verbal), possess strong interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, and be innovative in a fast-paced environment. Must hold and maintain a valid Secret Security Clearance. This position is contingent upon contract award. The role involves designing, developing, building, analyzing, evaluating, and installing database management systems, including database modeling and design, relational database architecture, metadata and repository creation, and configuration management. It also includes defining and overseeing database organizations, standards, controls, procedures, and documentation. The position provides technical consulting in the definition, design, and creation of a database environment, advising applications development staff and users on data-based solutions, data architectures, database management system facilities and capabilities, and database operation and tuning. The goal is to ensure economic and efficient availability of data within adequate safeguards. This is a career-level position requiring a complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts. The individual will work under general direction, providing technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems and independently determining and developing approaches to solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree
• Active Secret Clearance
• Minimum 5 years experience

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, builds, analyzes, evaluates and installs database management systems to include database modeling and design, relational database architecture, metadata and repository creation and configuration management.
