About The Position

Everforth ECS is seeking a highly qualified Database Administrator/Programmer – Senior with an active Secret Clearance to work full time on our project at Maxwell Air Force Base, AL. The selected candidate will be able to communicate effectively (written/verbal), possess strong interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, and be innovative in a fast-paced environment. Must hold and maintain a valid Secret Security Clearance. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science
• Active Secret Clearance
• Minimum 8 years' experience
• Ability to communicate effectively (written/verbal)
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated
• Innovative in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, builds, analyzes, evaluates and installs database management systems to include database modeling and design, relational database architecture, metadata and repository creation and configuration management.
• Defines and oversees database organizations, standards, controls procedures, and documentation.
• Provides technical consulting in the definition, design, and creation of a database environment.
• Advises applications development staff and users on data-based solutions to business problems, data architectures, database management system facilities and capabilities, and the operation and tuning of databases.
• Ensures economic and efficient availability of data within adequate safeguards.
• Applies extensive technical expertise.
• Develops technical solutions to complex problems.
• Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment.
