About The Position

Peraton is seeking a Database Administrator to join a team responsible for providing development support to a Department of Defense customer. The system is a mainframe system that utilizes both online and batch processing and interfaces with approximately 53 other systems via batch data transmissions. The customer base includes the Air Force, Army, Navy, and other DoD organizations worldwide. This position is 100% remote.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD or 12 years with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be a U.S Citizen
  • Must have Active Public Trust clearance

Responsibilities

  • Software development and database administration using Cincom SUPRA PDM, MANTIS, COBOL, and JCL.
  • Provide technical support and consultation in the review and acceptance of deliverables related to the system platform modernization.
  • Support numerous SUPRA PDM databases.
  • Maintain COBOL copybooks to coincide with database changes.
  • Manage the Total-File-Views, which are internal variable names that allow online programmers to interact with the database files.
  • Perform directory maintenance for SUPRA PDM database files.
  • Evaluate the database environment, document their function, and create diagrams of their interactions to support MOCAS platform modernization.
  • Be familiar with programming languages and development tools.
