Requirements

  • 5–10 years of experience in Data Warehousing, Data Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, including T-SQL and/or PL-SQL, with hands-on experience working with relational database platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-grade ETL/ELT pipelines that integrate multiple heterogeneous data sources.
  • Experience working with industrial data sources such as SCADA systems, process historians, or OT environments will be considered a strong advantage.
  • Strong understanding of dimensional data modeling, including Star and Snowflake schemas, as well as data warehousing architecture and data quality best practices.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI, including data modeling, Power Query, and DAX, to support downstream reporting and analytics.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent SQL development and database optimization skills.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture and modern data engineering practices.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across business and technical teams.
  • Strong documentation, planning, and organizational capabilities.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and capable of delivering high-quality solutions in customer-facing environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a focus on quality, scalability, and continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft BI technologies such as SSIS and SSRS and/or modern cloud-based data platforms is preferred.
  • Practical experience with Python for data processing, scripting, or automation; exposure to big data technologies such as Hadoop is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize enterprise SQL-based data warehouse solutions that consolidate data from multiple sources, including relational databases, enterprise applications, OT/SCADA systems, historians, and flat files into a centralized source of truth.
  • Build and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, cleanse, validate, and transform data across development, pre-production, and production environments.
  • Develop high-performance SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers to efficiently manage and serve large-scale datasets.
  • Enable the data warehouse to serve as the foundation for enterprise reporting and analytics by delivering clean, well-structured datasets optimized for Power BI.
  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into scalable data models and data integration solutions.
  • Support the modernization of legacy reporting platforms, including SSRS, Excel, and Crystal Reports, by redesigning underlying data structures for Power BI reporting.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously optimize data pipelines and database performance to ensure scalability, reliability, and high availability.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation covering data models, ETL/ELT processes, pipeline architecture, and data flows.
  • Partner with customer technical teams throughout project delivery, with occasional local and international travel as required.
