About The Position

Ampcus Inc. is a certified global provider of a broad range of Technology and Business consulting services. We are in search of a highly motivated candidate to join our talented Team. This role requires strong data engineering skills in SQL Server, data modeling using Kimball methodologies, and hands-on development of data marts, SSIS ETL pipelines, and data flow design documentation. The developer must be able to deep-dive profile source systems, design and implement database projects in Visual Studio, manage code in GIT, and validate data accuracy through testing. Experience building dashboards is helpful but secondary. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a self-directed environment, communicates clearly with both technical and non-technical partners, and takes pride in delivering clean, well-modeled, well-tested data.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in Data profiling
• 5 years of experience in Data modeling
• 5 years of experience in SQL Server data mart development
• 5 years of experience in SSIS ETL development
• 3 years of experience in Source Control

Nice To Haves

• 3 years of experience in Dashboard/report creation (desired)

Responsibilities

• Analyze and understand source systems to determine data availability, quality, and extraction logic.
• Design dimensional models and star schemas to support analytics and reporting needs.
• Produce clear, detailed mapping documents that translate business rules into technical specifications.
• Build and optimize tables, views, stored procedures, and indexes.
• Create and maintain database projects for versioned, repeatable deployments.
• Manage code changes, branching, and collaboration workflows.
• Build, schedule, and monitor ETL packages to load data marts reliably and efficiently.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with business rules.
• Build basic dashboards or visualizations using tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
