About The Position

Carriage Services is seeking a Sr. Data Warehouse and BI Developer to join their IT team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the company's Data Warehouse, Dashboards, and SQL and Power BI Reports. The company is dedicated to creating premier experiences through innovation, empowered partnership, and elevated service within the Funeral and Cemetery profession.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business or Information Science
Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in the field or in a related area
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 onwards, Transact-SQL, and Business Intelligence Development Studio (SSAS, SSIS, SSRS, Visual Studio)
Power BI Experience
Knowledge in Azure Data Factory and Pipelines
Must demonstrate basic knowledge or expertise in the following technology disciplines: Servers, Desktop/Laptop/Workstation Computing, Networking, Security, Programming, and/or IT Operations
Able to read, write and speak English fluently
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) required
Detail oriented and ability to work in a team setting
Ability to be a self-starter and resolve issues with minimal supervision
Maintains a positive attitude
Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and exercise good judgment
Good customer skills
Willing to learn new systems and technology

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Essbase and MDX scripts a plus
Operational Data Warehouse experience

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and tune existing Data Warehouse, Dashboards and Reporting systems
Write and modify SSRS and Power BI reports
Design and improve current ETL processes
Maintain Azure Devops Pipelines
Develop Semantic Data Models for Power BI Reporting
Design, build and maintain unified data solutions in Fabric
Own and develop relationships with end-users, working with them to optimize and enhance existing reports and integrations
Help design, document and maintain system processes
Improve systems by studying current practices and designing modifications
Recommend controls by identifying problems and writing improved procedures
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices
