About The Position

The Data Warehouse Analyst / Report Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise reporting and analytics solutions using Power BI and Snowflake. This role will focus on semantic model development, dashboard creation, advanced DAX calculations, SQL optimization, dimensional modeling, and Snowflake integration to deliver scalable, high-performance business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Power BI, Snowflake, SQL development, and data modeling, with the ability to translate business requirements into intuitive reports and actionable analytics.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics.
3–5+ years of hands-on Power BI development experience.
Strong expertise in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, Semantic Models, Dataflows, Paginated Reports.
Advanced SQL development experience.
Experience with CTEs, Window Functions, Analytical Queries, Query Optimization.
Strong understanding of Star Schema Design, Fact & Dimension Modeling, Dimensional Data Warehousing.
Experience integrating Power BI with Snowflake.
Experience with Snowflake administration and performance tuning.
Experience documenting metadata and data lineage.

Experience embedding Power BI reports into applications.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines for Power BI deployments.
Experience using source control tools such as Git or Azure DevOps.
Experience with enterprise data warehouse initiatives.

Responsibilities

Design and develop enterprise Power BI semantic models, dataflows, dashboards, and reports.
Build advanced DAX calculations, measures, KPIs, and analytical logic.
Create visually compelling, user-friendly, and high-performing dashboards.
Develop and maintain paginated reports and enterprise reporting solutions.
Optimize Power BI workspaces, datasets, and report performance.
Design dimensional models using star schema and fact/dimension methodologies.
Collaborate with data engineering teams to optimize data structures for reporting.
Support semantic layer development and enterprise reporting standards.
Ensure reporting solutions align with data governance and architecture standards.
Develop and optimize Snowflake-based reporting solutions.
Perform Snowflake performance tuning, clustering strategy optimization, and compute management.
Support warehouse sizing, workload management, and cost optimization initiatives.
Utilize Snowflake RBAC and security best practices.
Write complex SQL queries utilizing: Common Table Expressions (CTEs), Window Functions, Analytical Queries, Query Optimization Techniques.
Develop datasets and reporting views to support business requirements.
Analyze and troubleshoot data quality and reporting issues.
Integrate Power BI with Snowflake using optimal connectivity methods.
Optimize query folding and end-to-end report performance.
Troubleshoot performance issues across: DAX, SQL Queries, Semantic Models, Snowflake Compute Layers.
Ensure data reliability, consistency, and scalability.
Document: Data Lineage, Metadata, Semantic Models, Report Specifications, Business Rules.
Support governance, transparency, and maintainability of analytics assets.
Maintain technical and user-facing documentation.
Gather and analyze reporting requirements from business stakeholders.
Translate business needs into analytical solutions and executive dashboards.
Present reporting solutions and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
Collaborate effectively with SMEs, developers, architects, and data engineers.
