About The Position

An employee in this or any position is expected to support this environment. The position has no supervisory responsibilities. This position receives supervision from the Data Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general educational development (GED) certificate
  • Valid Michigan Driver's license
  • One year experience in Data Entry
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access
  • Considerable knowledge of community mental health programs and relevant policies
  • Reliable Transportation
  • Ability to exercise discretion and some flexibility in selecting an optimal solution from established alternatives to obtain the desired outcome
  • Ability to exercise ingenuity to adapt, alter or improvise established alternatives
  • Ability to use or exert influence in a work process
  • Ability to deal with minor conflicts tactfully

Nice To Haves

  • Post-secondary schooling in related field
  • Over 3 years of experience with Data Management or Records
  • Proficient in agency electronic health record (OASIS)
  • Lived experience with behavioral health issues

Responsibilities

  • Perform customer and provider relations.
  • Handle routine administrative matters independently.
  • Provide telephone and/or face to face EMR (OASIS) assistance and/or training to staff.
  • Provide various reports for Management.
  • Create and submit encounter files to MDHHS.
  • Provide weekly data and demographic pulls and reports.
  • Provide assistance in data flow.
  • Oversee daily functional operation of assigned area.
  • Track and manage pertinent data.
  • Ensure compliance with rules/regulations for area.
  • Present to/participate in workgroups and community activities.
  • Work collaboratively with multiple agencies.
  • Troubleshoot, resolve or recommend solutions to issues with electronic health record.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Comply with Alcohol & Drug Testing Policy (06-001-0010) and Background Check Policy (06-001-0015), as well as supervisors/designee directives.
