About The Position

Leidos is looking for a Data Systems Engineer with an active TS/SCI with polygraph. The Data Systems Engineer is an integral member of a government/contractor team supporting our customer's operations organization. This role requires an individual with technical experience administering Linux servers within a virtual environment. The role requires implementing security compliance for the systems. The individual’s work encompasses interfacing with advanced systems, with data processing capabilities across a multi-network environment. If you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and approximately 4+ years of experience.
  • At least four (4) years of recent experience implementing systems processes and/or software development methodologies, planning, designing and analyzing functional system processes - either hardware or software-based systems.
  • Active TS/SCI with Poly is required. Candidates who do not currently possess a TS/SCI with Polygraph will not be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience with Linux system administration and engineering.
  • Demonstrated technical skills to implement Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) security controls on RHEL systems.
  • Experience maintaining operational security posture for information systems and performing day-to-day security operations of the system, to include scans and security audits.
  • Experience providing configuration management (CM) for information system security software, hardware, and firmware.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience and a demonstrated record of success developing and implementing innovative solutions for a diverse range of highly complex multi-disciplinary problems and devising corrective actions where necessary.
  • Experience configuring, deploying, and maintaining Identity and Access Management (IdAM) solutions, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and PKI enablement systems.
  • Experience with container and virtualization technologies such as Docker, VMware, or RedHat Virtualization.
  • Experience working with both users and developers to properly capture and translate system use cases to technical requirements.
  • Experience investigating and documenting existing system architectures.
  • Experience supporting operations.
