(FWS) NPS - Data Systems Assistant (Fall)
About The Position
This position is a Federal Work Study position at Norman Public School-Date Systems in Norman, Oklahoma. As part of the team, you will work in cooperation with other team members and site techs to complete district-wide projects and provide backup support. Responsibilities include printer troubleshooting and restocking, standard troubleshooting of student and teacher devices for both hardware and software (in person and on the phone), assisting new students with device checkout and initial login, maintaining district computers, assisting in large-scale device deployment, supporting A/V for school events and classrooms, assisting in new system installations and upgrades, and helping with setup and networking. You will also inform the supervisor of needed parts, supplies, and equipment, maintain a clean work area, and perform other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled in the Fall 2026 Term as an undergraduate student in good standing at the University of Oklahoma.
- Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.
- Must have received and accepted a work study award for the Fall Semester
- Good customer service/people skills
- Time management and organizational skills used to prioritize tasks and projects
- Communication skills to provide information and technical assistance as requested
- Understanding of basic computer operations and software applications
- Familiarity with Mac OS, Windows, and IPads
- Compliance with safety guidelines and policies to reduce accident or injury to staff or to students
- Following school dress standards, proper attendance or leave policies, and other work-habits concerns for staff initiative in effective and creative problem solving.
- Perform such tasks to the ultimate benefit of the educational program
- Utilize discretion, ingenuity and independent judgment due to the complexity of the job
Responsibilities
