The Data Support Sr Analyst will establish and maintain compliance with the Enterprise Data Management Standards related to: Work with report preparers to document, update and maintain end user (EUC) computing lineage for existing and new Risk Data Aggregation (RDA) reports Integration (stitching) and sustainment of EUC and technical PDE data lineage from the report back to one hop outside of Credit Risk Maintaining EUC lineage in Enterprise tools (DQC Toolkit) Performing quality assurance analysis on data lineage Updating asset flow diagrams Facilitate validation that the inputs into the Critical Risk Figures (CRFs) are fit-for-purpose including analysis of discrepancies, tracking and coordinating remediation efforts Track and report on status of project deliverables The successful candidate will need to demonstrate intellectual curiosity, exercise sound judgment, thrive in an environment that challenges the status quo, encourage debates, and influence stakeholders across a large matrixed organization.

Requirements

  • 2 + years experience in data management working with very large data sets
  • General knowledge of database architecture and experience working with large data warehouse systems and relational databases
  • Ability to develop and interpret basic SQL statements and analyze data
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel functions and ability to manipulate/research large, complex, multi-tab spreadsheets
  • Ability to leverage AI (Copilot) to simplify data governance activities and automate manual processes
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Adept at communication with ability to influence co-workers across our global team and key Technology and Compliance partners
  • Strategic thinker, self-starter, organized, versatile, and capable of performing work with minimal management oversight
  • Strong presentation and intermediate PowerPoint skills to prepare executive status updates
  • Advanced analytical skills that demonstrate ability to navigate systems, access data, identify discrepancies and understand drivers of change
  • Ability to work with stakeholders across different teams, build consensus and execute strategic objectives
  • Ability to interpret data management policies and identify impacts to data management processes and artifacts

Responsibilities

  • May manage or supervise a small group.
  • Proactively monitor and remediate incoming data used in risk measurement and reporting.
  • Ensure the completeness, validity, and accuracy of data on a daily basis.
  • Work with business data users to define the use of data within risk systems.
  • Work closely with technology to ensure the timely and accurate operation of risk models and reporting systems.
  • Implement effective risk controls of our data processes and systems.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing of data control processes.
  • Work with other groups as needed, including Middle Office, Sales and Trading, Technology, Compliance, Operational Risk, and Enterprise Capital Management to ensure effective controls over data for GMRM.
  • Credit Risk Data Governance & Oversight (CR DGO) is responsible for the interpretation, design, implementation and sustainment of best-in-class data management practices in Credit Risk (inclusive of internal and external data management requirements as the baseline).
  • This is an enterprise role and covers all of Enterprise Credit and Global Banking Risk.
