About The Position

Accenture's AI and Data practice is seeking practitioners who understand how enterprises operate and can engineer smarter solutions using AI and data to transform business processes and outcomes. This role focuses on the design and operationalization of enterprise data governance frameworks, including building stewardship processes, authoring data policies, and configuring governance tooling to ensure data is trusted, well-managed, and ready for analytics and AI. The consultant will partner with business and technology stakeholders to turn governance concepts into reality.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in data management, data governance, or a data strategy role.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience operationalizing data governance frameworks (stewardship, ownership, data quality, metadata management).
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with data cataloging or lineage tooling (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, Collibra, Alation, Microsoft Purview).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working within or supporting regulatory and privacy compliance requirements.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience serving utilities clients (electric, gas, or water) or in a utilities finance, controllership, or regulatory function.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years' work experience). If Associate’s Degree, must have equivalent minimum 6-year work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Execute data governance design, including supporting the design and operationalization of governance frameworks covering data ownership, stewardship, data quality standards, metadata management, and policy enforcement.
  • Operationalize governance models by working with business and technology stakeholders to turn data strategy into actionable governance operating models that enable trusted data for analytics and AI.
  • Support governance structures by helping establish governance councils, defining data classification and access policies, and documenting standards and processes.
  • Configure governance tooling, including implementing and driving adoption of cataloging, lineage, and data quality tooling (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, Collibra, Alation, Microsoft Purview).
  • Support compliance alignment by ensuring governance work aligns with regulatory and privacy requirements and contributes to master data management efforts.
