About The Position

This position is a key member of the Eversource Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Program Team, responsible for analytical support towards achieving the AMI strategic goals. The role involves working with various reporting requirements, process improvements, proposed program roadmap initiatives, and program reporting. Additionally, this position will support business case development, technology exploration, and assist with requirement gathering, data analysis, and reporting.

Requirements

Demonstrated ability in analytics, problem solving, statistical and mathematical skills.
Proficient programming skills in one or more languages (Python, Spark, SQL).
Knowledge, experience and demonstrated ability in areas of reporting and analyses.
Skill in understanding and using data to measure and explain, extracting and analyzing data, working with IT systems, developing analytics, collaborating with others, communicating in a business setting with all levels of management.
Strong ability to design, build, analyze and interpret data models.
Ability to use standard business reporting software to build and modify reports and in using data from a data warehouse or other database.
Experience with MS Office Suite tools (Outlook, Teams, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint).
Requires self-directed work ethic and abilities, capable of taking the lead on action items or initiatives while also collaborating with others within and outside of the department.
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance or related discipline or equivalent experience.
Three (3) to five (5) years related experience.
Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.

Experience with advanced Excel, visualization and reporting tools skills, process analysis tools use highly desirable.
Familiarity with concepts related to emerging utility technologies (e.g. distributed energy, grid modernization, storage, etc.) is highly desirable.
MBA preferred.
Experience in data handling and business process/performance analysis, strongly preferred.
Experience in utility industry preferred.

Responsibilities

Designs, builds, and maintains AMI processes, reports, and dashboards.
Data extraction, Automation, and logic designs.
Assists in developing streamlined approaches to minimize manual processes and duplicative work.
Collaborates with external and internal resources to gather and analyze data or information.
Develops/gathers requirements for AMI Program requests.
Documents and coordinates with other departments to integrate new and existing processes seamlessly.
Performs root cause analysis where required.
Designs and performs ad hoc querying and reporting as needed to support the AMI Program Team.
Responsible for storm restoration and emergency assignments.
Performs other duties as assigned.
