About The Position

The Data Strategies Analyst delivers reports and analyses of historical and current business performance to support decision-making. The role analyzes marketing initiatives for an assigned region and its properties, providing insights that address business challenges and presenting data in a usable form to the organization. The position is on site in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as business analytics, statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, or a closely related field.
Working knowledge of tools such as SQL, Python, R, SAS, or SPSS.
Working knowledge of BI tools such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, or Power BI.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Inquisitive analytical thinking.
Organization, attention to detail, and a strong focus on accuracy.
Ability to obtain and maintain any necessary licenses or certifications.

Responsibilities

Support direct marketing, special events, and promotional activities through performance analysis, test design and analysis, and ad hoc analysis.
Analyze large data sources to identify key business drivers.
Execute projects from inception to completion by clarifying the business question, conducting analysis, developing insights, and presenting findings.
Design, create, and maintain dashboards and reports that track business metrics and monitor business health.
Provide clear, meaningful analysis to support decision-making.
Create and maintain process documentation.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with properties and corporate departments.
Apply predictive modeling, segmentation, forecasting, and multivariate analysis to address business challenges and improve business performance.
Assist properties with marketing campaigns as needed.
Write SQL, Python, R, SSIS, or similar code to extract, manipulate, and move data within Boyd Gaming’s technology stack.
Perform other duties as assigned.
