About The Position

As a Data Steward, you will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation and enhancement of our organization's data governance initiatives. This position requires a detail-oriented and analytical individual who can collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, compliance, and effective management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree, Information Management, Computer Science, or related field
  • 2 - 4 Years of experience prefered
  • Programming experience (e.g., Python, SQL).
  • Experience with data integration and data virtualization tools such as AWS Glue, Informatica or Mulesoft.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with the implementation and management of data governance tools such as Collibra, Informatica, or Alation.
  • Proven experience in data governance, data analysis, or a related analytical role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with data quality tools and metadata management concepts.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough data quality assessments to identify discrepancies, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with data stewards and technical teams to implement corrective measures and enhance overall data quality.
  • Manage and enhance metadata repositories, documenting data lineage, definitions, and relationships.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure accurate and comprehensive metadata documentation.
  • Assist in the classification of data based on sensitivity and business impact.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of data classification frameworks and policies.
  • Generate and present regular reports on the status of data governance initiatives, data quality metrics, and adherence to data governance policies.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Support efforts to ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of measures to protect sensitive and personal data.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training programs to enhance data governance awareness across the organization.
  • Provide ongoing support to teams in understanding and following data governance policies and procedures.
  • Participate in data impact assessments for new projects, system changes, or data migrations.
  • Collaborate with project teams to assess potential risks and ensure alignment with data governance standards.
