About The Position

As a Data Steward, you will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation and enhancement of our organization's data governance initiatives. This position requires a detail-oriented and analytical individual who can collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, compliance, and effective management. This role will report to our World Headquarters in Marysville, OH on a hybrid schedule.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree, Information Management, Computer Science, or related field
  • 2 - 4 Years of experience prefered
  • Programming experience (e.g., Python, SQL)
  • Experience with SAP Products (SAP S/4HANA), strongly preferred
  • Experience with data integration and data virtualization tools such as AWS Glue, Informatica or Mulesoft.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with the implementation and management of data governance tools such as Collibra, Informatica, or Alation.
  • Proven experience in data governance, data analysis, or a related analytical role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with data quality tools and metadata management concepts.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough data quality assessments to identify discrepancies, anomalies, and areas for improvement. Collaborate with data stewards and technical teams to implement corrective measures and enhance overall data quality.
  • Manage and enhance metadata repositories, documenting data lineage, definitions, and relationships. Work closely with stakeholders to ensure accurate and comprehensive metadata documentation.
  • Assist in the classification of data based on sensitivity and business impact. Contribute to the development and maintenance of data classification frameworks and policies.
  • Generate and present regular reports on the status of data governance initiatives, data quality metrics, and adherence to data governance policies. Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Support efforts to ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulations. Assist in the development and implementation of measures to protect sensitive and personal data.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training programs to enhance data governance awareness across the organization. Provide ongoing support to teams in understanding and following data governance policies and procedures.
  • Participate in data impact assessments for new projects, system changes, or data migrations. Collaborate with project teams to assess potential risks and ensure alignment with data governance standards.
