Data Solutions Architect

MANSCAPED
$170,000 - $180,000Remote

About The Position

Reporting to the VP of Strategy, Insights & Analytics, this role serves as the primary architect and guardian of the enterprise data ecosystem and the primary liaison between Analytics/SIA and Technology. This role will own the MANSCAPED architecture and data modeling standards, while partnering closely with Technology on infrastructure, identity management, security, production operations, and source-system integrations. This role will ensure the MANSCAPED data ecosystem is secure, scalable, governed, well-documented, and built to support trusted BI reporting, executive decision-making, advanced analytics, and future AI-enabled workflows. The ideal candidate is a hands-on data architecture leader with deep expertise in Snowflake, SQL, data modeling, stored procedures, RBAC, data governance, and modern ETL/ELT environments. This person must be equally comfortable designing scalable technical solutions, partnering with BI teams on reporting-ready data structures, working with Technology and Security on enterprise standards, and translating complex business needs into durable data products. This role is not simply “the Snowflake person.” This person will be the architect of the company’s trusted data foundation — ensuring the business can access, understand, trust, and activate its data.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in data architecture, analytics engineering, data warehousing, data platform leadership, or enterprise data solutions
  • Deep hands-on experience with Snowflake, including architecture design, schema development, performance optimization, RBAC, views, SQL, and stored procedures
  • Strong experience building and scaling modern data warehouse and ETL/ELT environments
  • Experience designing robust data models for BI, analytics, executive reporting, and cross-functional business use
  • Proven ability to establish data governance, access control, and data quality frameworks in complex business environments
  • Experience partnering with Technology, Security, Infrastructure, BI, and business teams
  • Strong understanding of data pipeline architecture, source-system mapping, transformation logic, and downstream reporting needs
  • Familiarity with AI-ready data architecture, natural-language query interfaces, or AI-assisted analytics workflows.
  • Experience with consumer, Ecommerce, retail, marketplace, subscription, wholesale, or omnichannel data environments
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to simplify complex technical topics for non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder-management, and cross-functional leadership skills

Responsibilities

  • Own the architecture and evolution of MANSCAPED’s Snowflake environment
  • Establish and enforce data modeling standards across core business domains
  • Design schemas, datasets, and views, that support BI, analytics, reporting, and future AI-enabled use cases
  • Develop and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures and performance-optimized data structures
  • Optimize Snowflake performance, warehouse utilization and cost management
  • Approve schema changes, RBAC changes, Snowflake architecture changes, and material pipeline modifications, with appropriate oversight and cross-functional alignment
  • Define and implement the enterprise RBAC model within Snowflake across business functions, ensuring sensitive data assets are secure, governed, and accessible to the right audiences
  • Partner with Technology, Infrastructure, Security teams and Analytics stakeholders on identity management, access provisioning, Microsoft Entra ID integration and enterprise data governance
  • Establish standards for row-level security, masking policies, PII handling, access reviews, and permission-aware data availability
  • Proactively surface risks related to access, governance, data quality, and warehouse spend
  • Design and oversee data pipeline architecture standards, partnering with Technology on production operations, SLAs, and system reliability to ensure high-integrity movement of data across systems
  • In partnership with Snowflake and Daasity, serve as the Analytics-side technical lead for ETL/ELT requirements, transformation logic, and source-to-target data mapping
  • Collaborate with Technology, SaaS vendors, and application teams to ensure downstream data is reliable and reporting-ready, supporting integration of platforms including Shopify, NetSuite, Amazon, 3PL/WMS and other business critical systems
  • Partner with the BI team to ensure Snowflake data models and governed datasets are optimized for Looker development and self-service reporting and the BI-owned semantic layer
  • Help create “Single source of the Truth” by grounding core metrics in consistent, trusted, and well-documented data structures
  • Translate recurring business questions into reusable data products that support executive reporting, forecasting, channel analysis, product performance, and strategic planning
  • Ensure data is accessible through traditional BI reporting and future AI-assisted workflows
  • Establish and maintain technical architecture standards, source-to-target mapping, and data dictionaries and observability standards across critical pipelines and data sets
  • Implement automated validation frameworks and reconciliation checks, with transparent documentation that reduces tribal knowledge and builds confidence in core datasets
  • Partner with Analytics, BI, Technology, and business stakeholders to define ownership, lineage, and usage rules for critical data assets
  • Collaborate with Finance, Marketing, DTC, Retail, Operations, Product, Customer Experience, and Executive Leadership to understand current and future data needs
  • Communicate complex technical issues clearly across audiences, balancing speed, governance, and scalability in all decisions
  • Advise the VP of Strategy, Insights & Analytics on risks/dependencies, roadmap tradeoffs, resourcing, and long-term data architecture priorities, balancing internal and external transformation resources to meet business timelines
  • Other duties as required
