About The Position

The Data Security Engineer will ensure the security and compliance of the WDP data platform and its associated data tools. This person will implement data protection measures, manage user access and permissions for data tools, and ensure adherence to all applicable data security policies and regulations in collaboration with the data governance team. This person will design and implement data security controls and safeguards, conduct security risk assessments for data systems, and develop data classification and handling procedures. This person will configure and manage data access control systems, monitor for unauthorized data access attempts, and respond to data security incidents. This person will implement data encryption solutions for data at rest and in transit, collaborate with compliance teams to ensure regulatory requirements are met, and provide guidance on secure data handling practices. This person will perform security reviews of data integrations and sharing arrangements, maintain documentation of data security controls, and stay current with data security technologies and threats. This person will develop and deliver data security awareness training, participate in security audits and assessments, and implement data loss prevention strategies.

Requirements

  • SECRET Security Clearance Required
  • CCSP, Cloud+, GICSP, GISF, GSEC, or Security+ certification (for Junior/Journeyman roles)
  • CCE, CISSO, CISSP-ISSEP, CySA+, FITSP-O, GCLD, GCSA, or GSNA (for Senior roles)
  • Good communication skills
  • Self-starter mindset
  • Professional proficiency in English is required
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
  • Applicants must not require sponsorship for work visas
