About The Position

Peraton is looking for a Mid-level Data Scientist to work with the United States Transportation Command’s Human Capital Strategy & Analytics Branch (TCJ1-RD) to enhance, develop, and maintain a sustainable data strategy, management, and analytics program. In this role, you will apply your knowledge and experience to transform data into actionable information to inform strategic human capital management, enhance labor market analysis for civilian recruitment, improve professional development and skill alignment, and develop initiatives focused on retaining top talent. You will deliver data-driven decisional products that support active-duty, Guard and Reserve military members, and civilian employees. You will develop and maintain a robust data foundation to ensure the availability of on-demand, analysis-ready human capital data. You will analyze data to identify trends and relationships, and map and analyze data across secure and non-classified defense networks. You will continuously improve existing tools, making them faster, more effective, accurate, and efficient. You will ensure effective communication and collaboration among users, subject matter experts, and leadership. You will provide insight and expertise to the team when developing processes to manage the lifecycle of data science tools and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of technology trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or a Masters and 3 years, or PhD.
  • Experience with Palantir Foundry.
  • Experience creating dashboards and business intelligence, and/or data science tools.
  • Demonstrated collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance.
