Data Scientist
About The Position
As a Data Scientist, you will use analytical skills to improve aerospace mission solutions. Working with a cross-functional team of data scientists, data engineers, modelers, and web developers, you will collaborate with customers to understand their problems and constraints and analyze data-rich environments. The work includes analyzing optimization algorithms, writing scripts, building predictive analytics, automating processes, and applying machine learning techniques. You will use appropriate tools and frameworks to transform disparate data into objective answers that help military leadership make informed decisions, and help customers understand and use their data to address challenges.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in engineering, science, or data science.
- Experience with scripting and programming, including R, Python, SQL, JavaScript, Matlab, or Ruby.
- Knowledge of probability, statistics, and machine learning.
- Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's degree.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with data visualization tools and dashboard development, such as Qlik or Tableau.
- Experience with Extract, Transform, and Load.
- Experience with DevOps tools, including GitHub, JIRA, or Jenkins.
- Experience with Agile fundamentals.
- Experience leading technical teams in a supervisor role.
- Experience architecting AI and ML platforms and large-scale data infrastructure.
- Experience with data governance principles, including data quality management, metadata management, and data lineage.
- Experience with back-end frameworks, including Flask, Django, or FastAPI.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services.
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics.
