Data Scientist, Junior
About The Position
As a Data Scientist at Booz Allen, you will analyze complex, structured and unstructured data to produce useful information and help clients address challenging problems. You will work with clients to understand their questions and needs, explore data-rich environments, and use appropriate tools and frameworks to turn disparate data into objective answers that support informed decisions. The role involves contributing data science expertise to real-world applications across public and private sectors, including areas such as fraud detection, cancer research, and national intelligence. You will also help develop algorithms and systems and identify opportunities to apply data science solutions to client challenges.
Requirements
- Experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining.
- Experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysis.
- Knowledge of structured and unstructured data sources.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree.
Nice To Haves
- Experience developing algorithms using R, Python, or SQL and NoSQL.
- Experience developing predictive data models, quantitative analyses, and visualizations of targeted data sources.
