About The Position

As a Data Scientist, you will use analytical skills to improve aerospace mission solutions. You will work on a cross-functional team of data scientists, data engineers, modelers, and web developers to address complex data problems. Working closely with customers, you will understand their problems and constraints, analyze data-rich environments, and turn disparate data into objective answers that help military leadership make informed decisions. The work includes analyzing optimization algorithms, writing scripts, building predictive analytics, automating processes, and applying machine learning techniques using appropriate tools and frameworks.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in engineering, science, or data science.
• Experience with scripting and programming, including R, Python, SQL, JavaScript, Matlab, or Ruby.
• Knowledge of probability, statistics, and machine learning.
• Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with data visualization tools and dashboard development such as Qlik or Tableau.
• Experience with Extract, Transform, and Load.
• Experience with DevOps tools, including GitHub, JIRA, or Jenkins.
• Experience with Agile fundamentals.
• Experience leading technical teams in a supervisor role.
• Experience architecting AI and ML platforms and large-scale data infrastructure.
• Experience with data governance principles, including data quality management, metadata management, and data lineage.
• Experience with back-end frameworks, including Flask, Django, or FastAPI.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services.
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics.
