Data Scientist
About The Position
CACI is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to support the Army DCS, G-6 Network Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4) Services Integration (NC4SI) Directorate on a Task Order for G-6 Network Plans and Enterprise Information Environment Mission Area (EIEMA) Management. NC4SI provides planning, analytical, operational, policy, technical, and management services at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., and at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. The role focuses on data science and Army Vantage environment development, including integrating APIs and automated data pipelines across Army and Department of Defense platforms, building data applications and visualizations, and applying statistical modeling and machine-learning methods to complex data. The position requires an active Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance. It is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately; applicants may also be considered for other CACI positions.
Requirements
- Active Secret clearance and ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, such as Computer Science, Mathematics, or Data Engineering.
- 5–7 years of experience in data science roles; military or government project experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with Army-specific data tools and platforms.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts into actionable strategies for senior leadership.
- Proficiency with data science tools, programming languages, and frameworks, including Python, R, SQL, Palantir Ontology, and Palantir Data Marketplace.
- Experience building and integrating APIs into Army Vantage and other Army or DOD platforms, including automated data-pipeline deployment and integration.
- Familiarity with Army data systems and protocols for API integration across Army platforms.
- Strong data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine-learning skills.

- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams across disciplines to enhance technical developments.
- Understanding of Army security protocols and compliance requirements for handling sensitive data.
- Familiarity and experience with DOD IL4, IL5, and IL6 cloud environments and data exchange via CDS.
- Certifications in Data Science, Cloud Computing, or related fields.
- Familiarity with Palantir Foundry applications, Palantir AIP tools, and Army Vantage architecture and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Use data science tools, programming languages, and frameworks such as Python, R, SQL, Palantir Ontology, and Palantir Data Marketplace.
- Build and integrate APIs into Army Vantage and other Army or DOD platforms, considering API orchestration and applicable policy requirements.
- Deploy APIs and integrate automated data pipelines across Army and vendor platforms, including AESMP, Army 365, DISA circuit utilization, NetOps tools, Splunk, and First Alert.
- Develop within the Army Vantage environment using Palantir Foundry applications such as Workshop, Pipeline Builder, and Automate, and leverage Palantir AIP tools including AIP Logic Functions, AIP Threads, and AIP Chatbot Studio.
- Apply knowledge of Palantir Ontology Manager, data architecture, and infrastructure required for Army Vantage.
- Develop dynamic visualizations for executive-level consumption.
- Analyze data and apply statistical modeling and machine-learning techniques, including ensemble predictive models, neural networks, and LLM vectorization and customization.
- Interpret complex datasets and provide actionable insights to support senior leadership decision-making.
