About The Position

Applaudo is seeking a Data Scientist for a temporary, full-time opportunity running from November 2 through December 31, 2026. The role transforms complex datasets into meaningful insights that support business decisions through data preparation, statistical modeling, machine learning, and visualization. It involves working across cloud-based data environments and multiple data sources, while maintaining data accuracy and reliability.

The Data Scientist collaborates with technical and business stakeholders to translate business challenges into practical analytical solutions, communicate findings clearly, and deliver actionable recommendations. The role uses Google Cloud Platform for data processing and analytics, Python and SQL for analysis and data transformation, and Power BI for dashboards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field is desired, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services for data processing and analytics.
• Advanced Python skills for data manipulation, statistical modeling, and machine learning.
• Strong SQL skills for querying, data preparation, transformation, and optimization.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining dashboards using Power BI.
• Experience developing statistical models and machine learning algorithms to generate insights and forecasts.
• Experience collecting, cleaning, and transforming data from multiple sources while ensuring data quality and reliability.
• Ability to translate business problems into analytical approaches and actionable recommendations.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills to explain complex findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Native Spanish proficiency.
• B2+ English proficiency, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and transform data from multiple sources, ensuring data quality and reliability.
• Build and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms to generate insights and forecasts.
• Design and maintain Power BI dashboards to communicate insights to business leaders and stakeholders.
• Use Google Cloud Platform services to manage and optimize data pipelines and analytical solutions.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, analyze, and transform large datasets.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Business teams to align data science solutions with organizational objectives.
• Translate business challenges into practical data science approaches and deliver actionable recommendations.
• Stay current with relevant tools and methodologies in data science, cloud analytics, and data visualization.
