About The Position

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career- and customer-oriented Data Scientist in Fort Meade, Maryland, to develop statistical analytics and cloud-based data solutions supporting national security objectives. The role involves collaborating with subject matter experts, intelligence analysts, and customers to guide analytic development from prototype to production, deliver data-driven insights, and prepare for future integration of machine learning into mission operations. Work is performed in a secure cloud environment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or technical field, or four additional years of direct relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
At least 7 years of experience in a Data Scientist, Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or related technical role.
At least 7 years of experience working with standard data analysis tools, frameworks, or languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.

Nice To Haves

Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining data workflows, pipelines, and analytic prototypes within secure cloud infrastructure.
Practical knowledge of advanced statistical modeling and foundational machine learning techniques.
Familiarity with containerization and modern Machine Learning Operations (MLOps).

Responsibilities

Execute and contribute technical expertise across multiple data science and analytic development efforts in a secure cloud environment.
Collaborate with customers, intelligence analysts, and subject matter experts to align analytic requirements with mission goals.
Prototype and transition data pipelines and advanced analytics into scalable, operational environments.
Apply statistical modeling, data analysis, and graph-based approaches to complex datasets, preparing workflows for future machine learning applications.
Manage individual analytic tasks and deliver high-quality technical work to meet project objectives.
